Our vision is to prepare students to be critical thinkers and problem-solvers, improve their abilities to analyze and evaluate information, use technology, apply research skills and techniques, and create unique solutions to real world and real life problems. ED Tech differs from other SLC’s in that it is specifically geared toward development of academic skills using design and technology as preparation for the post-secondary and professional world.

ED Tech students will have the opportunity to work in classrooms and in the community with real-world industry and educational professionals.

SAVE THE DATE! September 11, 2010 LAUSD District 1 Presents the 4th Annual College Fair Extraordinaire. Saturday, September 11, 2010, 9am-12pm, at Los Angeles Pierce College.

Video Game Tournament We are having a Video Game Tournament next Wednesday in Chancellor Hall from 4:00 to 7:00PM. The game being played is Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and the cost is $20 per team of 4 people. There will be prizes for the winners. Students need to register in E-31 with Mr. Salazar.

Community Partners Meeting We had our second community partners meeting of the year. We presented a plan to create an after school program for our students to the community members.

CANSTRUCTION Event on 11/25/09 Students from ED Tech home rooms will be constructing sculptures out of cans in the theme of science and technology. The cans will then be donated to local non profit organizations.
