The C.H.A.S.E.  Program will affect all students who attend Chatsworth High School and will remain in effect for the entire time your son or daughter attends this school.  It will not only affect their participation in graduation but will also affect all other major activities they may want to attend or participate in while they are students at Chatsworth High School. 

If a parent or student wishes to appeal the reported absences, they may do so by submitting a written request to the Appeal Committee. The decision of this committee can be appealed to the principal. 

Parents and students will be notified by the attendance office when a student reaches the 10^th tardy or the 10^th absence.

Please note that the awarding of a high school diploma is a right earned by all students who meet state and district graduation requirements. However, participation in the graduation ceremony is a privilege over which the school has jurisdiction.

Good attendance is the single most important factor in achieving success in school.  Too often students are absent for trivial reasons.  Please encourage your son/daughter to be at school daily and make every effort to schedule their appointments for after-school hours.  In addition, every effort should be made to plan vacations so they will coincide with school holidays.
