Mission
Chatsworth Charter High School’s Medical Hospice Careers Pathway provides a rigorous curriculum that uniquely prepares well-rounded citizens to be college and career ready for the medical career fields. Our students are exposed to a broad range of medical careers. A thoughtfully designed curriculum, guest speakers, job shadowing, internships, college classes, project based learning, portfolio defense, advisories, student research, and field trips provide the students the opportunity to make informed choices in regards to pursue a career in the medical profession.

Looking for Careers in the Medical Field? Why the Hospice and Medical Careers Pathway?
There is a huge misconception that students enrolled in CCHS’s Hospice and Medical Careers Pathway will be groomed to become doctors. On the contrary, medical pathway students will be exposed to all aspects of the medical profession. Through a carefully designed curriculum, guest speakers, job shadowing, student research and additional high learning opportunities, students will be given the tools and taught the life skills necessary to make informative choices in regards to pursuing a career in the medical profession.
What’s in store for the Hospice and Medical Careers and Pathway Student?
Chancellors in the Hospice and Medical Careers Pathway will be enrolled in a rigorous curriculum. Classes are designed to have the pathway's emphasis of Hospice Care. Students will participate in lessons with real world applications. Core classes and electives will be centered around the medical profession bound Chancellor. The cliché of, “Why do I need to learn this?” will never be asked in these specially designed lessons. CCHS’s Hospice and Medical Careers Pathway teachers are always revisiting the curriculum to assure that all lessons meet the Common Core Standards and Project Based Learning help better prepare our Chancellors to succeed in state mandated tests and college entrance exams. Every detail of the pathway is in constant review to make this program the best that it can possibly be.
