I played on the B-Football team with Shelly Weisman in the Fall of 1981.
I was a Senior in the same class year as his sister, Heidi. Shelly was in the new class of 10th graders that were truly outstanding people, Paul Horowitz, Matt Cooper, Eric Barnum, Eric Sandoval and many others.
When Heidi told me, at our 20 year reunion, in 2002 that Shelly had passed away I was shocked and greatly saddened. He had such a wonderful spirit and personality. There was a kindness to his personality that I will never forget.
I can see his big smile right now at these words and saying something like, "Aw Rob, thanks man," with this humble attitude of his.
His passing is a true loss to even folks like me who hadn't seen him since 1982. Thank you, Shelly. You will never be forgotten.
