Right-hander Steven Karkenny struck out five batters in a complete-game effort and hit a three-run triple, and the host Chancellors (5-3) defeated Sylmar, 8-1, today in a Chatsworth tournament game.

 

Ricky Obando contributed a triple for the Chancellors, who ended a losing streak at two games, Ryan Escobar had two hits and Adam Baslow had a double.
