WILMINGTON -- Designated hitter Ricky Obando drove in Aaron Brown with a double in the first inning and Brown made the run stand up with help from Steven Karkenny in Chatsworth's 1-0 nonleague win over Wilmington Banning today.
 
Brown (2-1) struck out nine in 5-1/3 innings and gave up three hits. Karkenny picked up a save.
 
The Chancellors head for the Las Vegas Durango tournament, where they will play two games Monday, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Admission is $5 per day and $10 passes for all tournament games are available. There's no admission charge for children under 12 and seniors 62 and over.
 
Junior varsity: The host Chancellors defeated Banning, 10-0, in six innings.
 
Ricky Bernal pitched five innings to earn the victory and right fielder Tim Han had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs.
