The Chancellors (23-4) today were seeded No. 1 for the City Section playoffs and will open play May 19 with a first-round game against the winner of the play-in game between No. 16 Narbonne and No. 17 Verdugo Hills.

 

A first-round victory would pit the Chancellors, who were West Valley League co-champions, in a quarterfinal game against the winner of a first-round game between No. 8 Taft and No. 9 Sylmar.

 

The semifinals are May 26 and the title game at Dodger Stadium is May 29 at 1 p.m.

 

Chatsworth has won the last three City championships, nine titles overall and has appeared in the title game the last seven years in a row.
