Second baseman Brady Conlan had four hits, including a home run and a double, to help lift the host Chancellors over Taft, 8-6, today in a City Section quarterfinal playoff game.
Top-seeded Chatsworth (25-4) will play host to No. 5-seeded San Pedro in a semifinal game Wednesday at 3 p.m. The Pirates advanced with a 3-1 win over Arleta.
The Chancellors had to rally from a 3-0 deficit in the first inning, when the Toreadors used a two-out, three-run double to jump ahead. Taft stranded three runners in the seventh inning.
Conlan, right, scored four runs. Center fielder Aaron Brown, right fielder Angel Calderon and pinch-hitter Adam Baslow each hit a double for the Chancellors.
