Chancellors outfielders Steven Karkenny and Aaron Brown have been selected to the All-City first team and pitcher Christian Lopez has been selected to the second team.
Karkenny led the Chancellors with a .425 batting average. He hit two home runs and drove in 22 runs. The junior right-hander was 5-1 with a team-best 1.63 earned-run average.
Brown batted .368 and led the Chancellors with five home runs and 29 RBIs. The junior left-hander was 5-1 with a 3.72 ERA.
Lopez, a junior right-hander, had a team-best record of 7-1. He had a 2.58 ERA and three complete games.
All were selected to the All-West Valley League first team, with Karkenny being voted player of the year.
Other Chancellors on the All-WVL first team were senior catcher Sean O'Connell (.320, two home runs, 15 RBIs) and junior pitcher Angel Rodriguez (6-2, 2.55). The second-team selections were senior shortstop Jeff Bezjian (.296), junior second baseman Brady Conlan (.349) and sophomore first baseman Ricky Obando (.344).
JV: Freshman outfielder Tim Han and sophomore pitcher Ricky Bernal were selected players of the year in the WVL.
Han batted .500 with a team-high three home runs and 30 RBIs.
Bernal was 8-0 with a team-leading 1.52 ERA.
Other all-league selections were infielders Mark Fierro (.553), Ernesto Prado (.333), catcher Chris DeVito (.412), outfielders Justin Vega (.461) and Raul Camas (.547) and utility man Kiefer Kofman (.370; 7-1, 2.39).
