Behind home runs by freshman catcher Carlos Escobar, junior outfielder Bobby Coyle, junior shortstop Mike Moustakas and freshman first baseman Andy Weissberg, the Chancellors beat the Alumni, 15-1, Saturday afternoon at Chatsworth.
Moustakas gave the Chancellors a 4-0 lead with a three-run blast in the fourth inning and Coyle had a solo shot in the fifth. Escobar hit a grand slam in the sixth and Weissberg hit a two-run drive in the seventh.
The alumni spoiled the shutout when JV Coach Stuart Sellz scored in the ninth inning.
