Former Chancellors shortstop Mike Moustakas has been promoted to the Omaha Royals of the triple-A Pacific Coast League and will make his debut with the team tonight at Nashville.

 

Moustakas, selected by the Kansas City Royals with the No. 2 overall pick of the 2007 amateur draft, is now playing third base. He had been playing with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals and leading the double-A Texas League with a .347 batting average, 21 home runs and 76 runs batted in.
