Chatsworth will play its home opener Monday at 3 p.m. when the Lancaster Eagles visit for the make-up of a game postponed Friday because of rain.
The Chancellors defeated Dos Pueblos, 8-0, Saturday at Goleta and the Eagles scored a run in the seventh inning to defeat Saugus, 3-2, at Lancaster.
It was the ninth consecutive year the Chancellors opened a season with a victory.
About the Eagles: Lancaster was 12-3 and finished in first-place tied with Quartz Hill in the Golden League last season. The Eagles were 16-11 overall and reached the third round of the Southern Section Division III playoffs.
Chancellors vs. the Eagles: Chatsworth is 1-0 against Lancaster, defeating the Eagles, 8-2, last season in the same tournament.
Schedule change: Chatsworth's game originally scheduled for Tuesday has been moved to Wednesday at 3 p.m. because it is a staff development day in Los Angeles City schools. The opponent and location are to be determined.
The Chancellor JV team will play at Lancaster on Monday at 3 p.m. and Wednesday at 3 p.m. against an opponent and location to be determined.
