The Chancellors (6-1) open West Valley League action Tuesday when they play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers (6-1) at 3 p.m.
Senior right-hander Josh Ravin (2-1) will be on the mound for the Chancellors, the defending league champions.
The Chancellors will play at Cleveland on Thursday at 3 p.m. and will play host to Santa Barbara (5-0) on Saturday at 11 a.m. in a Chatsworth tournament game.
Chancellors: They are coming off a 12-4 victory over Narbonne on Saturday in a Chatsworth tournament game... They are starting a run for their fourth consecutive and 25th overall league title... The Chancellors have not lost a league opener since 1997 and have not lost a league opener at home since 1995.
Cleveland: The Cavaliers are coming off a 9-4 victory over L.A. University in the Chatsworth tournament Saturday... They finished third in the West Valley League last season with an 11-4 record and were 23-9 overall, losing to South Gate, 3-0, in a City Section quarterfinal... Chatsworth holds a 57-16 lead in the series since 1980 and has won the last nine meetings.
Santa Barbara: The Dons go into the week fresh off a 3-1 victory over San Fernando in the Chatsworth tournament Saturday... The Dons last season finished 8-4 and in second place in the Channel League and 20-7 overall after losing to Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos, 10-7, in a Southern Section Division II quarterfinal. Chatsworth and Santa Barbara have never played.
JV to play Cleveland: The Chancellor JV team (4-1-1) will open West Valley League play at Cleveland on Tuesday and play host to the Cavaliers on Thursday.
