The Chancellors (18-1 overall, 6-0 in league play) continue West Valley League play Tuesday when they travel to El Camino Real (15-3, 6-0) for a 3 p.m. game.

 

The Chancellors will play host to the Conquistadores on Thursday at 3 p.m. The game will be televised on LA36 on Friday at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. It will be televised by KLCS on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Consult your cable company for the correct channel.

 

Chancellors: They are coming off a sweep of Las Vegas, where they were 5-0 to win the Durango High tournament for the third consecutive year... They opened the tournament April 10 with an 11-0, five-inning victory over Foothill of Santa Ana, ranked No. 8 in the Southland by the L.A. Times, and capped the evening with a 10-7 victory over the hosts. They beat Centennial of Bakersfield, ranked No. 14 in the state by CalHiSports.com, 12-4, on Tuesday, then knocked off Centennial of Las Vegas, 14-3, in five innings in a semifinal Wednesday before defeating Centennial of Bakersfield later in the evening, 13-3, in five innings to win the title and improve to 18-1 all-time in the tournament... The Chancellors go into the El Camino Real series with a 15-game winning streak... Chancellor pitchers have posted six shutouts. The school's season record is 12, in 2003... From 2000 to the present, the Chancellors are 96-4 at home, including playoffs... According to MaxPreps Sports top-20 rankings, the Chancellors have the best strength-of-schedule rating, 8.8, among the Southland schools.
