<font color="#f26100">Chancellors Play Host to Birmingham</font>

After a dramatic win over El Camino Real on Thursday in their last West Valley League game, the Chancellors (20-2 overall, 7-1 in WVL) continue league play Monday by playing host to the Birmingham Patriots (9-9, 3-5) at 3 p.m.
 
The two teams will play the second game of the home-and-home series Thursday at Birmingham at 3 p.m.
 
Chancellors: They are coming off a 10-0 five-inning victory over L.A. University on Saturday in the Chatsworth tournament. Junior outfielder Bobby Coyle had a single, triple and home run, junior shortstop Mike Moustakas had a three-run homer and sophomore first baseman James Wharton had a three-run homer to back up senior right-hander Daniel Simmons, who gave up three hits... On Thursday, the Chancellors pulled into a first-place tie with El Camino Real in the WVL with a 9-5 win in eight innings at Chatsworth. Junior third baseman Matt Dominguez hit a walk-off grand slam three innings after senior second baseman Oscar Gutierrez had given the Chancellors a 4-2 lead with a three-run homer.
 
Patriots: They pulled into a three-way tie for third place in the WVL with a 4-3 win over Granada Hills in eight innings Thursday.
 
Series: Chatsworth is 35-5 against the Patriots from 1980-2005. The Chancellors have won 10 in a row against the Patriots.

JV: The Chancellors play at Birmingham on Monday and play host to the Patriots on Thursday. Both games are at 3 p.m.
