SAN FERNANDO -- Sophomore right-hander Trevor Takeyama (9-1) struck out eight, freshman shortstop Ryan Cooperstone had a three-run double in the fourth inning and the Chancellors' JV beat the San Fernando Tigers, 6-2, Thursday in a quarterfinal game of the City Section playoffs.

 

Freshman third baseman Andrew Klausmeier drove in a run in with a double and junior second baseman Ryan Merrill drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.

 

The Chancellors travel to Narbonne on Wednesday for a semifinal game at 3 p.m.
