<font color="#f26100">Chancellors to Face Banning</font>

The top-seeded Chancellors continue their quest for a seventh Los Angeles City Section title when they play host to No. 8 Banning in a quarterfinal game Friday at 3 p.m. A victory would advance the Chancellors to the semifinals against the winner of the San Fernando-Roosevelt game.
 
Chancellors (28-2): They are on a 10-game winning streak after defeating Verdugo Hills, 7-0, in a first-round game Wednesday... The victory improved Coach Tom Meusborn's record in the playoffs to 44-11... From 2000 to the present, the Chancellors have won 19 Championship Division playoff games, more than any other team. El Camino Real is second with 12, Kennedy is third with 10 and Roosevelt is fourth with eight.
 
Banning (21-10): Banning finished second to Narbonne in the Marine League... The team is coming off a 2-0 win over Poly in the first round.
 
Series with Banning: The Chancellors are 4-3 against Banning.
 
Common opponents: The Chancellors and Banning played two common opponents this year, Narbonne and Taft. Chatsworth swept Taft in WVL play, 7-0, 12-1 and 17-0, and beat Narbonne, 13-4, in a Chatsworth tournament game. Banning lost to Taft, 6-5, and lost three of four games against Narbonne.
