GLENDALE The Chancellors overcame a five-run deficit and defeated Valencia, 8-5, Saturday night at Stengel Field in the title game of the Easton Showdown tournament.

 

Third baseman Ryan Escobar, right, hit a three-run triple in a five-run sixth inning for the Chancellors. Left fielder Tim Han, second baseman Jared Holley and center fielder Aaron Brown each had two hits for the Chancellors (5-0).

 

Right-hander Steven Karkenny picked up the victory with two scoreless inning of relief.
