LOS ANGELES -- The Chancellors let an early lead slip away and lost to Kennedy, 4-2, Saturday afternoon in the Los Angeles City Section Championship Division title game at Dodger Stadium.
Senior Josh Ravin (6-2) took a no-hitter into the top of the sixth inning, when the No. 3 Golden Cougars (26-10) rallied for all of their runs against the right-hander and senior reliever Jonathan O'Leary.
Junior right fielder Bobby Coyle put the top-seeded Chancellors (30-3) ahead, 1-0, with a sacrifice fly to deep right-center field that drove in senior second baseman Oscar Gutierrez, who had led off the second inning with a triple to right-center field.
Junior third baseman Matt Dominguez cut into the Kennedy lead with a home run to left-center field leading off the sixth inning that put the Chancellors behind, 4-2. It was Dominguez's second home run at Dodger Stadium in the last two City title games and his 10th this season.
It was the Golden Cougars' seventh City title, tying them with Fremont for the most.
