Willie Cabrera (No. 23 in photo), a member of two national championship teams at Chatsworth, has signed with the Atlanta Braves after two stellar seasons at Pierce College.

 

Cabrera, a second baseman with the Chancellors, set a state record with 72 hits in 2004 and was selected City Section co-player of the year.

 

He played outfield for the Brahmas the last two seasons and was twice selected junior college All-American. He led the state in 2005 with 65 runs batted in and had 12 home runs. This season he batted .413, among the best in the state.
