Chris Carlin, right, who played right field in this game, was two for three and drove in two runs with a second-inning double and the host Chancellors defeated Cleveland, 9-1, today in a West Valley League game.
Second baseman Jared Holley had a two-run double in the third inning and designated hitter Ricky Obando had a two-run single in the inning. Pitcher Aaron Brown (4-1) was three for four and had a two-run double in the fourth inning. He worked four innings to pick up the victory and Steven Karkenny worked three for a save.
The Chancellors improved to 9-2 overall, 2-0 in WVL play.
