The host Chancellors (11-2) improved to 3-0 in West Valley League play with a 7-2 victory over Granada Hills (8-7, 1-2) today as Raul Camas and Kiefer Kofman, right, each had two hits.
Steven Karkenny hit a two-run triple for the Chancellors, who gave right-hander Angel Rodriguez (4-1) plenty of support. Rodriguez struck out six batters over five innings. Right-hander Christian Lopez worked two innings and struck out the last four batters in a row.
The Chancellors travel to Granada Hills on Friday for a 3 p.m. game.
JV: The Chancellors beat host Granada Hills, 12-2, and switch-hitting freshman Riley Conlin hit his second home run this season, this one right-handed. His first one was left-handed. The JV team plays host to Granada Hills on Friday at 3 p.m.
