WOODLAND HILLS Left-hander Aaron Brown, right, started on the mound and earned the victory and helped his cause with a grand slam in a five-run fifth inning that helped send the Chancellors (17-5, 7-1 West Valley League) past host El Camino Real, 13-4, today.
Brown also had a double and a single, and third baseman Ryan Escobar and designated hitter Tim Han each had two hits for the Chancellors, who lead the WVL by two games over El Camino Real (13-13, 5-3).
The Chancellors play host to Calabasas on Saturday in a Chatsworth tournament game.
JV: The host Chancellors (16-2-1, 8-0) beat El Camino Real, 11-3, behind a complete-game effort by Ricky Bernal.
