Former Chancellor All-City shortstop Ryan Barba has signed as a free agent with the Milwaukee Brewers.

 

As a senior last season at New Mexico, Barba started all 59 games and batted .329 with 56 runs, 10 doubles, three triples, nine home runs and 43 runs batted in. He led the Mountain West Conference with 202 assists and took part in 52 of the Lobos national-leading 75 double plays.

 

Barba has been assigned to the Arizona Brewers of the Arizona rookie league.
