Right fielder Steven Karkenny set the tone with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the first inning and the top-seeded Chancellors (22-5) defeated No. 16 Westchester, 15-0, today in a City Section first-round playoff game stopped in the fifth inning because of the 10-run rule.

 

Karkenny also had a two-run single in the third inning. Shortstop Brady Conlan, right, had three hits for the Chancellors and right-hander Angel Rodriguez gave up three hits and struck out six batters.

 

Chatsworth plays host to Taft in a quarterfinal game Thursday.
