Former Chancellor standouts Bryan Petersen, Jason Dominguez and Brett Munster recently completed in stellar fashion their seasons in summer college leagues.
Petersen (top photo), an outfielder headed for his junior year at UC Irvine, was selected co-player of the year in the Alaska Baseball League after leading the circuit with a .365 batting average while playing for the Anchorage Bucs. He also led the league in triples with four and was third in hits with 50.
Dominguez (middle photo), a right-handed pitcher headed for his junior year at Pepperdine, was ninth in the Northwoods League with a 1.77 earned-run average while playing for the La Crosse Loggers in Wisconsin. He led the Loggers with 61 strikeouts in 71 innings and walked only 25 batters.
Munster (bottom photo), a shortstop-third baseman headed for his senior year at Cal, led the Moses Lake (Wash.) Pirates of the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League in hitting with a .310 average, sixth best in the league, and had a .963 fielding percentage.
All were members of the 2003 Chatsworth team that finished 33-1 and was selected national champion by three publications. Petersen and Dominguez also played on the 2004 Chatsworth team that finished 35-0 and earned its second national title.
