Our Senior Humanitas Teaching Team of Kathie Donner, Robert Hayes and Linda Liddell recently received a $500 award of recognition for thier Interdisciplinary Thematic Unit "Global Interdependency: How Could Our World Be Improved Through Cooperative Economic Trade?" The project challenges the students to create a strategic plan for an International Summit that will help improve the standard of living for the people of a specific country.
The simulated summit was held over two days this June in Chancellor Hall where the Senior Humanitas Students acted as economic advisors in the international marketplace trading for goods and services to improve the living standards for their selected country.
The Humanitas Program represents one of five specialized Small Learning Community Academies at Chatsworth High School.
