Former Chancellor right-hander Justin Cassel has been promoted to the Winston-Salem Warthogs, the Chicago White Sox's affiliate in the Carolina League, an advanced Class A circuit.

 

Cassel was drafted by the White Sox in June out of UC Irvine and spent his first stint in professional ball with Great Falls of the rookie-level Pioneer League, where he was 3-2 with a 2.97 earned-run average.
