Former Chatsworth third baseman Matt Dominguez, right, got his first major league hit today in his second game with the Florida Marlins after making his debut Tuesday night.
Dominguez, who was called up by the Marlins on Labor Day from triple-A New Orleans, started the game against the New York Mets at third base and singled to center field in the second inning against knuckleballer R.A. Dickey.
It was Dominguez's second plate appearance in the big leagues. He was hit by a pitch in the 10th inning of a tied game the night before at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens.
