LOS ANGELES The Chancellors (4-1-1) had seven runs and seven hits in the bottom of the first inning and cruised to an 8-2 victory over La Puente Bishop Amat on Wednesday night in a nonleague game at USC.
Right-hander Jason Karkenny, top, didn't give up any hits in three relief innings and struck out four batters in a row at one point. Right-handed starter Harsa Prahara, center, struck out three in three innings and right-handed reliever Chris Schraut threw two-third of an inning.
Left fielder Riley Conlan, bottom, had two hits, including a two-run double, and right fielder Raul Camas had a two-run triple. Catcher Hayden Tsutsui and designated hitter Ricky Obando each had two hits.
