With little in the way of offense, the host Chancellors lost to Chaminade, 5-1, today in the fifth-place game of the Easton tournament.
Chatsworth (3-2) had only four hits, including a triple by senior shortstop Mike Moustakas (top photo) and a double by senior third baseman Matt Dominguez (bottom photo).
The Chancellors will face Palos Verdes at 4 p.m. Wednesday at UCLA and Kennedy at 6 p.m. Thursday at USC in nonleague games before opening play in the Chatsworth tournament against Narbonne at 11 a.m. Saturday at home.
JV: Junior left-hander Casey Fry gave up one run in four innings but the Chancellors (4-1) fell apart later and lost to host Chaminade, 8-7.
Freshman first baseman Derek Neely had three hits, including a double, and junior outfielder Patrick O'Connell had two hits for the Chancellors.
