THIS WEEK: The Chancellors open West Valley League play with a home game against Granada Hills on Tuesday at 3 p.m., travel to Granada Hills on Thursday for a 3 p.m. game and play host to Santa Barbara on Saturday at 11 a.m. in a Chatsworth tournament game.
 
ABOUT CHATSWORTH: The Chancellors (5-3) are coming off a 5-4 loss to Narbonne on Saturday in a Chatsworth tournament game. The Chancellors had not lost two games at home since 2002. It is the first time the Chancellors have lost three games this early in a season since 1997, when they started with three losses. A look back at when the Chancellors lost their third game in each of the previous nine seasons: (1998) 25th game; (1999) 18th; (2000) lost only twice; (2001) lost only twice; (2002) 22nd; (2003) lost only once; (2004) undefeated; (2005) 29th; (2006) 33rd and final game.
 
ABOUT GRANADA HILLS: The Highlanders (6-2) are coming off a 12-2 win over North Torrance in five innings Saturday in the Redondo tournament.
 
SERIES VERSUS GRANADA HILLS: Since 1980, the Chancellors are 46-11-1 against the Highlanders. Chatsworth has won 16 in a row against the Highlanders, whose last victory over the Chancellors was 11-2 on May 3, 2001, at Chatsworth.
 
ABOUT SANTA BARBARA: The Dons (6-0) are coming off a 10-9 victory in nine innings over San Fernando on Saturday in the Chatsworth tournament.
 
SERIES VERSUS SANTA BARBARA: Since 1980, the Chancellors are 1-0 against the Dons. Chatsworth defeated Santa Barbara, 8-1, on March 25, 2006.
 
DIRECTIONS TO GRANADA HILLS HIGH: From Chatsworth High, drive north on De Soto Avenue to Devonshire Street and turn right. Drive to Zelzah Avenue and turn left. Drive to Hiawatha Street and turn left and enter parking lot on the right-hand side once passed the football field.
 
LAST WEEK’S RECAP: The Chancellors opened the week with a 4-3 victory over Palos Verdes on Wednesday at UCLA; defeated Kennedy, 5-1, on Thursday at USC and lost to Narbonne on Saturday.
 
HOME-FIELD ADVANTAGE: Since 2000, the Chancellors are 107-7 at Chatsworth Ballpark, a .939 winning percentage. They are 1-2 in 2007.
