Senior shortstop Mike Moustakas hit two home runs and an 11-run outburst in the third inning propelled the host Chancellors to a 14-0 victory over Taft today in a West Valley League game stopped after 4-1/2 innings because of the 10-run rule.
Junior right-hander James Wharton (4-1) gave up only a first-inning single and struck out five for the Chancellors (10-3, 4-0 in WVL play).
The left-handed-hitting Moustakas extended his school career home run record to 40 with long drives over the right-center field fence in the third inning, a two-run homer, and in the fourth inning, a three-run shot. He has 12 home runs this season, two shy of his school single-season record, set last year.

The Chancellors had eight hits in the third inning.
