THIS WEEK: The Chancellors renew their West Valley League rivalry with El Camino Real when they play host to the Conquistadores on Monday at 3 p.m. and travel to Woodland Hills on Thursday at 3 p.m. for the second game of the two-game set. Chatsworth will wrap up the week by playing host to San Fernando on Saturday at 11 a.m. in a Chatsworth tournament game.
ABOUT CHATSWORTH: The Chancellors (13-4) are coming off a 6-1 loss to San Fernando on Wednesday in the semifinals of the Las Vegas Durango tournament. It was their second loss in 23 games at the tournament dating to 2003 and it ended a 19-game winning streak at the tournament.
ABOUT EL CAMINO REAL: The Conquistadores are 10-6 overall, 3-1 in league play. They are coming off an 8-7 loss to Poway in the Lions Classic in San Diego.
SERIES VERSUS EL CAMINO REAL: Since 1980, the Chancellors area 56-29 against the Conquistadores.
ABOUT SAN FERNANDO: The Tigers are 12-5 overall. They are coming off a 16-2 loss to Tucson Catalina Foothills in the title game of the Las Vegas Durango tournament.
SERIES VERSUS SAN FERNANDO: Since 1980, the Chancellors are 30-9-1 against the Tigers.
COACH TOM MEUSBORN: In his 18th season with the Chancellors, his record of 445-91-3 (.830 winning percentage) is the best ever in the state for a coach with 100 victories or more.
