<font color="#f26100">Chancellors to Take On El Camino Real, Birmingham</font>

THIS WEEK: The Chancellors will try to clinch outright their fifth consecutive West Valley League title with a victory over El Camino Real on Tuesday at Chatsworth. They will travel to Birmingham on Thursday for another WVL game. Both games are set for 3 p.m.
 
ABOUT CHATSWORTH: The Chancellors (23-4 overall, 12-0 in WVL play) are coming off an 8-2 league victory at Taft on Thursday in which they belted five home runs, extending their school single-season record to 58, nine more than the total hit by the 2004 national championship team … The Chancellors are on a season-high 10-game winning streak … The Chancellors have clinched at least a tie with second-place Cleveland for first place in the WVL, but they own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Cavaliers and would be the No. 1 team from the WVL for playoff seeding purposes if the teams finished the league season tied in first place … Any combination of a Chatsworth victory or a Cleveland loss gives the Chancellors the title outright ... The Chancellors have reached 20 victories for 12 consecutive seasons and 15 times in Coach Tom Meusborn’s 18 seasons at the helm.
 
ABOUT EL CAMINO REAL: The Conquistadores are 15-12 overall and in third place in the WVL with a 7-5 record … They are coming off a victory over Granada Hills on Thursday.
 
SERIES VERSUS EL CAMINO REAL: Since 1980, the Chancellors area 58-29 against the Conquistadores ... The Chancellors defeated El Camino Real, 3-2, on April 9 at Chatsworth and 2-1 in eight innings on April 12 at El Camino Real.
 
ABOUT BIRMINGHAM: The Patriots are 9-11 overall and in fourth place in the WVL with a 4-8 record.
 
SERIES VERSUS BIRMINGHAM: Since 1980, the Chancellors are 40-5 against the Patriots … The Chancellors defeated Birmingham, 13-2, on April 17 at Birmingham and 11-3 on April 19 at Chatsworth.
 
DIRECTIONS TO BIRMINGHAM: From Chatsworth High, drive south on De Soto Avenue to Victory Boulevard. Turn left and drive to Balboa Avenue. Turn left and turn into the school at the first traffic light.
 
COACH TOM MEUSBORN: In his 18th season with the Chancellors, his record of 455-91-3 (.833 winning percentage) is the best ever in the state for a coach with 100 victories or more.
 
HOME-FIELD ADVANTAGE: Since 2000, the Chancellors are 116-7 at Chatsworth Ballpark, a .943 winning percentage. They are 10-2 in 2007.
 
ROAD WARRIORS: Since 2000, the Chancellors are 70-9 away from home, an .886 winning percentage. They are 8-1 in 2007.
 
JUNIOR VARSITY: The Chancellors (17-4-1, 8-3-1) continue WVL play Tuesday at El Camino Real at 3 p.m. and play host to Birmingham on Thursday at 3 p.m.
