For the fifth consecutive year, the Chancellors were seeded No. 1 today for the Los Angeles City Section Championship playoffs and will play host to No. 16 Garfield in a first-round game Wednesday at 3 p.m.
Chatsworth (26-4, West Valley League #1) secured home-field advantage through the semifinals by virtue of its top seeding. The Chancellors have never played Garfield (18-13, Eastern League #3).
The 16-team bracket is as follows. All first-round games are Wednesday at 3 p.m.:
Upper half:

#9 El Camino Real (17-13, West Valley #3) at #8 Poly (16-10, Sunset Six #1)
#12 Franklin (14-3, Northern #1) at #5 Roosevelt (31-2, Eastern #1)
#13 Sylmar (10-10, Valley Mission #3) at #4 Palisades (21-9, Western #1)
Lower half:
#14 Bell (17-6-1, Eastern #2) at #3 Narbonne (18-12, Marine #1)
#11 Banning (15-16, Marine #3) at #6 Cleveland (23-8, West Valley #2)
#10 San Pedro (16-14, Marine #2) at #7 San Fernando (23-9, Valley Mission #2)

Quarterfinals are Friday at 3 p.m., semifinals are May 30 at 3 p.m. and the City final is June 2 at Dodger Stadium at 4 p.m. Higher-seeded teams are the home teams for quarterfinal and semifinal games.
JV: The 10th-seeded Chancellors (19-5-1) travel to seventh-seeded Eagle Rock for a first-round game Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Yosemite Park.
In the JV seedings, league champions are automatically seeded one through eight.
