Former Chancellors outfielder Bryan Petersen lined a two-out single to center field to lift UC Irvine over Cal State Fullerton, 5-4, in 13 innings today in an elimination game of the College World Series at Omaha.

 

"That was about as fun as baseball gets," Petersen told the Los Angeles Times. "That kind of game, you wish you could keep playing."

 

Petersen, a junior, was a fourth-round pick of the Florida Marlins in the June amateur draft.
