Chancellors senior shortstop Mike Moustakas added another honor to his collection by being selected state player of the year by Cal-Hi Sports.
Moustakas this year set a California record for home runs in a season with 24 and finished his four-year career with the Chancellors with 52, also a state record.
The left-handed-hitting slugger was the No. 2 pick overall in the June amateur draft, by the Kansas City Royals.
Moustakas was Cal-Hi's sophomore and junior player of the year.
