CALABASAS -- All-City senior right-hander James Wharton struck out three and gave up four hits over five innings in his first start of the season, and junior right fielder Andy Weissberg hit a home run to help the Chancellors defeat Calabasas, 6-1, today in a second-round game of the Easton tournament.

 

Weissberg home run came in the seventh inning, his second hit of the game. Junior catcher Carlos Escobar Jr. had two hits and junior left-hander Michael Renner pitched two scoreless innings of relief.

 

The Chancellors (2-0) play host to Hart (2-0) on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in a third-round game of the tournament.
