Left-hander Michael Renner (5-2) gave up three hits and struck out nine, and Derek Neely hit a solo home run in the second inning to help the Chancellors defeat Granada Hills, 8-0, today in a West Valley League game at Chatsworth.

 

Catcher Carlos Escobar Jr. had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs, Kasey Toven and Andrew Klausmeier each had doubles, and Renner had two hits.

 

The first-place Chancellors (19-5 overall, 9-1 in WVL play) play host to Santa Barbara on Saturday at noon in a Chatsworth tournament game. The start time of the game has been changed from 11 a.m.
