<font color="#f26100">Chancellors Shut Out Birmingham</font>

Sophomore designated hitter Derek Neely hit a walk-off two-run home run and the Chancellors defeated Birmingham, 10-0, in six innings to clinch outright their sixth consecutive West Valley League title.
 
Chatsworth (23-5 overall, 12-1 in WVL play) also got a two-run home run and a double from senior first baseman James Wharton and three hits from junior center fielder Michael Renner.
 
Senior right-hander Trevor Takeyama (11-1) struck out eight batters and did not walk anyone. He gave up three hits.
 
The Chancellors play host to second-place Cleveland on Friday at 3 p.m.
 
JV: The Chancellors defeated Birmingham, 2-1, in a WVL game at Birmingham High School.
 
Sophomore catcher Sean O'Connell hit an RBI double and scored the winning run and freshman right-hander Steven Karkenny and freshman left-hander David Lira recorded the win and save, respectively.
 
Freshman Brady Conlan and freshman Chris Carlin each had pinch hit singles.
