<font color="#f26100">Meusborn Earns Win No. 500</font>

WOODLAND HILLS -- The Chancellors rallied for five runs in the top of the 12th inning to defeat El Camino Real, 7-2, in a West Valley League game and give Coach Tom Meusborn his 500th victory.
 
Meusborn, in his 20th season with the Chancelllors, owns the state's all-time winning percentage record at .845 (500-92-3).
 
Senior designated hitter Andy Weissberg broke the game open with a two-run double in the 12th inning to put the Chancellors (9-1 overall, 2-0 in league) ahead, 6-2.
 
The rally started with a leadoff single by senior center fielder Michael Renner and pinch-hitter Jeff Bezjian reached on a bunt single, which was followed by a bunt single by sophomore right fielder Aaron Brown to load the bases.
 
Senior shortstop Kasey Toven walked to force in the go-ahead run and, after one out, junior first baseman Derek Neely was hit by a pitch to produce another run. Weissberg followed with line drive down the left-field line to drive in Brown and Toven, and senior catcher Carlos Escobar Jr. hit a sacrifice fly to center field to drive in Neely from third base.
 
El Camino Real (0-2 in league) led, 1-0, through two innings but senior pitcher Ryan Cooperstone tied the score in the third inning with a double to left field that knocked in Brown, who had singled and stolen second base.
 
The Chancellors were down to their last strike in the seventh inning when Brown singled to center field to drive in Renner from third base to tie the score, 2-2.
 
The right-hander Cooperstone struck out four batters in five innings and senior right-hander Andrew Klausmeier struck out six over seven innings to earn the victory.
 
JV: The host Chancellors beat El Camino Real, 13-6, scoring four runs in the fifth inning to take a 7-6 lead and six runs in the sixth.
 
Chris Carlin had two doubles and a single for the Chancellors, Ernesto Prado had two hits and right-hander Angel Rodriguez earned the victory with one inning of relief help from Ricky Bernal.
