LAKE BALBOA -- Senior left-hander Michael Renner (4-0) struck out 13 batters in a complete-game performance to lead the Chancellors over host Birmingham, 3-1, Wednesday in a West Valley League game.

 

Chatsworth improved to 11-1 overall, 3-0 in league play.

 

JV: Brett Voets went the distance and the Chancellors defeated Birmingham, 12-1, in five innings at Chatsworth.

 

Adam Baslow, Chris Carlin, Ryan Escobar and Kevin Siegel each had two hits for the Chancellors. Siegel had a triple and Carlin had a double.
