Senior right fielder Andy Weissberg hit a two-run home run and senior left-hander Michael Renner (top right) struck out five over seven innings to lead the host Chancellors over Granada Hills, 6-0, today in a West Valley League game.

 

Chatsworth improved to 19-2 overall, 6-1 in league play. The teams play Friday at Granada Hills at 3 p.m.

 

Renner (6-1) gave up four hits and was two for three at the plate, including a one-out double in the first inning just ahead of Weissberg's home run. Weissberg finished with three hits, including a run-scoring single.

 

Junior first baseman Sean O'Connell was three for three, including a double, and drove in a run.

 

JV: Junior left-hander Brett Voets (bottom right) struck out nine in a complete-game effort and the Chancellors defeated host Granada Hills, 13-2.

 

Junior left fielder Joseph McFaddin had a two-run double, sophomore right fielder Kevin Siegel had two hits and drove in three runs, freshman first baseman Kiefer Kofman had a run-scoring double and freshman second baseman Jared Holley had a run-scoring triple.
