<font color="#f26100">Chancellors Lose at Taft</font>

WOODLAND HILLS -- The Chancellors lost to host Taft, 11-7, today in a West Valley League season finale in which their streak of consecutive league titles ended at six.
 
Chatsworth (26-4) finished with a 12-3 record in league play, one game behind Cleveland, which clinched the title with a 10-1 victory over Birmingham. Cleveland will be the No. 1 team from the league for playoff seeding purposes.
 
The seeding for the City Section playoffs will be held Saturday. The Chancellors were the top-seeded team in the playoffs the last six years in a row.
 
 
JV: The host Chancellors defeated Taft, 12-1, in a game called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
 
Chatsworth finished league play with a 12-2 record, with an incomplete game.
 
Angel Rodriguez pitched four innings and picked up the victory. Reliever Ricky Bernal struck out the side in the fifth.
 
Right fielder Kevin Siegel had a double, a triple and drove in four runs; catcher Ricky Obando had two hits, including a double, and second baseman Brady Conlan had two hits and drove in a run.
