<font color="#f26100">Chancellors to Play Cleveland for City Title</font>

The Chancellors will play as the visiting team and occupy the first base dugout today at Dodger Stadium when they meet West Valley League rival Cleveland at 2 p.m. for the Los Angeles City Section Division I title. General admission is $10, students with I.D. is $8 and children under 4 accompanied by an adult are free. Parking entrance is through Elysian Park/Sunset Boulevard gate.
 
ABOUT CHATSWORTH: The Chancellors (29-4), seeded No. 2, are making a record seventh consecutive appearance in the championship game … Chatsworth has won a City Section-record eight titles … Senior catcher Carlos Escobar Jr., senior shortstop Kasey Toven and senior outfielder Andy Weissberg are participating in their fourth City final at Dodger Stadium. Senior pitcher Michael Renner is making his third appearance … The Chancellors have reached at least 25 victories for 12 consecutive seasons and at lest 29 victories seven years in a row … A victory would give the Chancellors at least 30 victories for the sixth time, all since 2001 … From 2000 to the present, the Chancellors have won 32 Division I playoff games, more than any other team ... Chatsworth is making its 16th appearance at Dodger Stadium since the City Section title games first were played at the venue in 1969, twice playing in the third-place game that is no longer contested.

ABOUT CLEVELAND: The No. 1-seeded Cavaliers 26-7 overall and were champions of the West Valley League with a 13-2 record ... They are coming off a 5-0 win over No. 12 Granada Hills in the semifinals.
 
SERIES VS. CLEVELAND: Since 1980, the Chancellors are 70-17 against the Cavaliers, including a 2-1 record against them in league play this season … The Chancellors are 2-1 against the Cavaliers in the playoffs, including a 2-1 victory in the 2007 title game.
 
COACH TOM MEUSBORN: In his 20th season with the Chancellors, his record of 520-100-3 (.839 winning percentage) is the best ever in the state for a coach with 100 victories or more … Meusborn (right) has won seven City titles, the most by a City Section coach … Meusborn’s record in the playoffs is 57-12.
