Dear Players and Parents,

 

My name is Marcus Alvarado, I’m honored to be called the new head coach of
Chatsworth baseball. I have many years of experience with City section baseball as
both a player and a coach. For many years I have been on the rival side of Chatsworth
and became very familiar with the expectations that the Chatsworth Baseball program
has always pursued. I value and respect the drive and work ethic that has gone on over
the years and can't wait to do my part in continuing this great legacy.

A little about myself; I graduated from CSUN with a BS in Kinesiology and will be
working in the special education department at Chatsworth. I come from a huge
baseball family and have been coaching high school baseball for seventeen years. All
17 of those years my wife Monica has been there by my side. You will know who she is
because she will be the loudest one cheering on our boys. My daughter Madisen will be
graduating from Lindenwood University with a double major in 2021. She was on the
California National Wrestling Team throughout high school and has continued wrestling
in college.

Like you all, I am eager to meet each and every one of you. I want to get started
on building the new foundation of our program based on Accountability, Loyalty,
Character, and Discipline. The plan is to have everyone tryout when the district and
school permits us. Once the team(s) are established there will be a parent meeting. As
of now we do have a fall/winter schedule ready. I hope that we will all be able to meet in
August but for now stay safe.
