Meusborn Returns as Chancellors Coach
August 13, 2014
Tom Meusborn, who took over the Chatsworth baseball program in 1990 and turned it into a perennial national powerhouse, returned as coach.
In 24 seasons, Meusborn had a record of 619-127-4, the best all-time in the state for a coach with 100 victories or more, and 67-16 in the playoffs. He guided the Chancellors to eight City Section and 19 West Valley League titles. The Chancellors appeared in a record seven consecutive City championship games from 2003 to 2009. His eight City titles are the most by a coach.
Meusborn led Chatsworth to a 33-1 record in 2003 and a 35-0 mark in 2004. The Chancellors were selected mythical national champions both seasons by several publications.
In 2011, Baseball America selected Chatsworth as the best high school program in the nation over the previous decade.
